E3 2010: Tom Clancy’s HAWX 2 Preview – GeoEye High Resolution Imagery Featured in Article

From the few missions that I saw, the animations (mainly while still on the ground) need a lot of work. Same goes for the framerate which was very jittery when displaying a lot of ground from high above. Speaking of the earth below, it looks fantastic thanks to the same GeoEye technology that powered the first HAWX. Mountain ranges are very impressive and exhibit some cool depth and shadowing that clearly wouldn’t be possible without the aid of GeoEye

Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. 2 First Look Preview – Featuring GeoEye High Resolution Imagery

The terrain is once again stunningly detailed thanks to the game’s GeoEye satellite imaging technology. Only now, the ground doesn’t look quite as muddied and flat up close as it did in the first game, at least based on the few maps I saw.
