GeoEye Expands Imagery Deal with ScanEx – GeoEye is Elevating Insight in Washington Business Journal Article

Herndon, VA-based GeoEye Inc. has landed a significant increase in business from its Russian partner ScanEx Research and Development Center.

GeoEye, a satellite information and analysis provider, did not specify the exact compensation in the new deal but said Wednesday that it had signed a new “multi-year, multi-million-dollar” agreement with ScanEx to provide more than 50 million square kilometers of high-resolution commercial satellite imagery.

The deal is a major expansion of a 2010 agreement in which GeoEye provided ScanEx over 2 million square kilometers of imagery
