Iceland – NASA released a big image file of the volcano in Iceland and the Eyjafjallajoekull volcano. NASA’s MODIS Rapid Response system snapped a image of the massive ash plume moving towards Europe. You can check out the massive image in Google Earth by clicking this KML file. The image opens in Google Earth and is a overlay image. You have to wait for it to load because the image itself is massive. While it loads you will see two arrows on your screen. Just be patient for it to load. Google Earth’s GeoEye Earth Imagery Layer is also updated, you can see that by clicking on the layers button.
