Hundreds of thousands of Iranians rally in Tehran to mark the 31st anniversary of Iran’s revolution. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad used the rally to attack the West, and said Iran had produced its first stock of 20% enriched uranium. This image was taken by GeoEye‘s IKONOS satellite from 423 miles in space on 11 February 2010, as it moved from north to south over Iran at a speed of four miles per second. The image shows masses of people gathered along Azadi Road; a major boulevard that runs east-west through central Tehran. It also shows many white-roofed buses parked along the demonstration route.
